I recently added a Powermatic PM1300tx-ck dust collector to my shop and I wanted to have better airborne dust control over my table saw blade.
I have seen setups sold that can accomplish this but why buy it when I can build it.
The starting point of this project is with my clamping station that is near my table saw. I had a bunch of 2 x 6 wood left over from my exterior stairway build and the boards had warped and were not good for much. They were however fine for building this bench which I use for clamping down all kinds of boards and materials that I need to work with (it has the gaps to allow clamps at all angles).
Here you see the pillar, extension arm top board and the 45 degree cross brace, which I attached with pocket holes.
